我省现有黑色路面4800公里(沥青路面1500公里,渣油路面3300公里)。由于我省地处祖国的北部寒冷地区,夏季最高气温可达30℃,冬季最低气温可达-30℃,昼夜温差一般为10℃左右。因此,我省的黑色路面在冬季易产生较多的纵横冻裂。最大冻裂宽度达4～5厘米。如果裂缝在春季解冻前不进行补修,就会在春季渗进雨水,造成路基透水、路面破坏,甚至道路翻浆,引起道路质量大幅度下降。
