由山东省科学院金属材料研究开发中心承担的山东省科委“六七”期间重点科研课题“铌铸铁材料研究”于1987年12月22日至1988年2月4日以通信鉴定的方式通过省级鉴定。鉴定会综合了代表的意见,确认该项研究充分准确地揭示了铌在铸铁中的作用机理和铌铸铁的耐磨机理,具有较大的创造性和学术意义。该课题通过各种先进手段对铌片墨铸铁、铌球墨铸铁、铌蠕墨铸铁、铌可锻铸铁,铌白口铸铁的各种性能进行了系统全面的研究,为大面积推广应用提供了可靠的数据。
