It is reported that the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Government plans to build a cross-harbor tunnel of more than 30 km between Shenzhen and Zhuhai as part of the planned Shenzhen-Zhuhai Expressway. The project is currently undergoing feasibility studies. After the Shenzhen-Zhuhai Expressway is completed, the journey from Hong Kong to Zhuhai will be shortened to over half an hour. It is planned that during the “Tenth Five-year Plan” period, infrastructure construction in the Pearl River Delta will be “upgraded.”
