王亚南(1901年一1969年),湖北黄冈人,著名的经济学家和教育家。从1928年起,王亚南与我国另一位经济学家郭大力合译《资本沦》,对马克思主义在中国的传播产生了巨大影响。王亚南几十年从事教育事业,曾任清华大学、中山大学、厦门大学教授,建国后任厦门大学第一任校长,呕心沥血培养了无数人才,著名数学家陈景润就是其中之一。 1954年夏,陈景润从厦大数学系毕业后,被分配到北京一所中学任教。由于他不善于讲课,教学效果不佳,学校领导和学生对他反映不好。加上刚从南方到北方,水土不服,常常闹病,一年内竟好几次住院,陈景润的
