The development of post-war adult education in Japan played a positive role in its rapid economic growth. Postwar Japan’s adult education rapidly formed a complete system of adult education and promoted its institutionalization in legislation and other aspects. The notable feature of post-war Japanese adult education is that the state attaches great importance to the participation of social forces and school education has laid a high starting point for it. The experience of post-war adult education in Japan deserves our reference
