美国哈佛大学心理学教授霍华德.加德纳(Howard Gardner)于1983年首次提出了多元智能理论(the Theory of Multiple Intelligences)。该理论诞生二十多年来,在世界范围内引发了教育的“革命性”变革,国外有学者提出多元智能理论将是21世纪的主流教育思想之一。多元智能理论给教育观念提出了新的视角,它倡导关注学生的差异,通过运用多样化的教学策略,使教育在每个人身上获得成功。这对我国正在进行的中等职业教育向素质教育和培养创新能力方面转变的课程改革有着极为有益的启示,也与积极探索职业教育、技术教育与培训三位一体的办学模式相吻合。
Howard Gardner, professor of psychology at Harvard University, first proposed the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in 1983. Since its birth more than two decades ago, this theory has triggered “revolutionary” changes in education around the world. Some foreign scholars have proposed that the theory of multiple intelligences will be one of the mainstream educational thoughts in the 21st century. The Multiple Intelligences Theory puts forward a new perspective on educational concepts. It advocates focusing on student differences and making education successful for everyone through the use of diverse teaching strategies. This has very beneficial enlightenment on the curriculum reform of our country’s ongoing secondary vocational education to quality education and the cultivation of innovative abilities, and is also in line with the active exploration of the trinity education mode of vocational education, technical education and training.
