中央党校常务副校长郑必坚在中宣部、教育部联合召开的学习邓小平教育理论座谈会上指出,要从大局出发深入学习邓小平教育理论。他说,我们全党都熟知,邓小平同志十分重视教育。这里鲜明体现出来的一个基本精神,就是中国实现社会主义现代化的大局,中国赶上世界先进水平的大局,要求我们全党一定要把教育放在优先发展的战略地位。我认为,这种大局发展提出的历史性要求,正是邓小平教育理论得以形成的根本动向。邓小平同志提出了著名的“三个面向”理论,成为邓小平教育理论的核心思想,这就是“教育要面向现代化,面向世界,面向未来”。这样,邓小平同志就为在教育工作中正确认识和处理教育与现代化的关系,以及与世界的关系,指明了根本方向。应该强调的是,邓小平教育理论把教育发展的意义,提到关系中华民族前途和命运的高度,提到关系建设有中国特色社会主义事业前途和命运的高度,从而使我们全党的眼界更为开阔。联系
