米丘林生物科学是联系生产实践的科学。米丘林学说的活力,在於他是坚决地为人民服务,与广大生产实践者结合在一起。他告诉共青团组织:“老园艺家的实际经验,常常是极可宝贵的,决不應忽视。”(米丘林选集496页)他又说:“每个农业劳动者都是实践家。”因此,在苏联成千成万的科学家到集体农庄、国营农场的生产实践中去;集体农庄的庄员们在长期的实践中,成千成万地成了农学家。从1954-55年,我们在河南临颍、许昌等地区进行麦田管理调查总结工作中,就深刻地体会到米丘林生物科学理论在农业生产上的指导意义,也意识到劳动人民几千年来对农作物耕作栽培的经验是非常丰富的。
