To study the growth of Leptographium wing-fieldi, a major companion of Tomicus piniperda, at six temperatures and its infectivity and virulence to Pinus thunbergii Pinussylvestris. In the range of 10 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, L. Wingfieldi grew faster with increasing temperature, whereas growth was inhibited at 3 or 30 ° C. The first 10 days of inoculation of Scotch pine showed some infectivity, but also induced a tree-resistant reaction that inhibited further expansion of the companion bacteria. Inoculated with higher density of accompanying bacteria, the host xylem has a large number of associated bacteria, turpentine distribution, part of the xylem also lost due to loss of moisture and normal function, indicating L. Wingfieldi has a strong virulence on Scots pine.
