明代戏剧家汤显祖的代表作《牡丹亭》(1598)问世以来被改编成很多剧种,在舞台上盛演不衰,尤以昆曲《牡丹亭》最为世人喜爱。近年,《牡丹亭》的多种舞台版本相继呈现,其演出形态各异。本文主要涉及《牡丹亭》三个舞台版本的演出:白先勇青春版《牡丹亭》(2004年至今),中日合作坂东玉三郎主演的《牡丹亭》(2008年至今),以及美国歌剧导演彼得·塞勒斯(Peter Sellars)导演的《牡丹亭》(The
Ming Dynasty dramatist Tang Xianzu’s masterpiece “Peony Pavilion” (1598) has been adapted into a lot of operas, stage performance is not bad, especially the Kunqu Opera “Peony Pavilion” most loved by the world. In recent years, a variety of stage versions of “Peony Pavilion” have been presented in different forms. This article mainly covers performances of three stage versions of Peony Pavilion: Peony Pavilion by Bai Xianyong (2004 to present), Peony Pavilion (2008-present) starring Taro Bando Yabuki and Sino-Japanese opera director “Peony Pavilion” directed by Peter Sellars
