杀虫脒纯品为白色针状结晶,易溶于水、甲醇、乙醇,不溶于丙酮及苯。国内外曾用名称:“氯苯基脒”、“克死螨”、“杀螨脒”、“脒8”、“C—8514”等等。据资料报道,杀虫脒的特点,在于高效低毒,在果树上可以防治苹果蠹蛾、苹果红蜘蛛、苜蓿红蜘蛛,柑桔红蜘蛛、柑桔瘤壁虱等害虫。据一九七一年中国农业科学院柑桔研究所应用50%克死螨(四川省农业科学院农药研究所试制)进行柑桔锈壁虱防治试验看出:克死螨的防治效果优于杀螨特、杀螨酯、糠硫磷、茂果等有机氮、有机磷杀螨剂,是当前防治柑桔锈壁虱的良好药剂。另据柑桔红蛛蜘的试验结果看出,克死螨对柑桔红蜘蛛的卵和成虫有兼治作用,但对成虫的效果表现缓慢。
