演员怎样才能创造好角色?在创造角色过程中,哪一个环节是最重要的?也许有人说:表演理论诸元素都是重要的,缺少哪一环节都是不行的。当然,这样讲并不算错,但未免失之泛泛。我认为必须强调演员创造角色过程中,最重要的一环是要把握好临场表演这个环节。换句话说,演员能否把戏演好关键就在于演员进入拍摄现场之后这一步走得怎么样了。我并不否认案头工作的重要性。演员对剧本和角色的正确分析和理解,是创造角色的基础,离开这种理性的指导就有可能失去正确的方向。演员对角色的理性认识越充分,感性知识越丰富,他的表演就会越有深度。这是演员创造角色取得成功的基本保证。

Actors’ proper analysis and understanding of scripts and characters is the basis for the creation of characters, and it is possible that they may lose their right direction without this rational guidance. The actor’s rational understanding of the role of the more full of more perceptual knowledge, his performance will be more depth. This is the basic guarantee for the actor to create a successful role.
