北京市海淀公社六郎庄大队是个老稻区,1965年起开始种植稻茬麦,变为稻麦两熟。但由于水稻收获晚,收稻后土壤含水量高,土质粘重,坷垃多,所以几年来,稻茬麦的产量只有200多斤,最好的520斤。1973年,大队党支部在批林整风运动推动下,以党的基本路线为纲,在深入开展“农业学大寨”的群众运动中,大胆革新,学习西苑四队的经验,试用水插移栽小麦的方法,使小麦产量得到了很大的提高。1974年六郎庄二队9.9亩水栽小麦,平均亩产达到787斤。
