Minority college students’ English learning has its own particularity. How to carry out teaching and learning in light of the characteristics of this group is a problem that many ethnic colleges and universities are trying to study. This article discusses the inherent relationship between formative evaluation and autonomous learning and puts forward a teaching plan of how to improve the autonomous learning ability of ethnic minority college students through formative evaluation.
