I. INTRODUCTION One of the disadvantages of optimal control theory is the need for feedback of all state variables that describe the dynamic behavior of the device. However, the entire state vector is seldom measurable. One alternative is to use Kalman filters or observers to reconstruct missing states. This approach introduces high order dynamics in control functions and leads to complex and expensive
