我受恩师王敦化先生的影响,性情较为散漫,对于艺术的追求,也是采取听其自然的态度,在实践中缓慢地积累,等待着灵感的到来,并不为自己定什么目标和计划,只是悠闲地享受创作的过程。生活日程也很随意。读书,写字,刻图章,吃睡诸事轮着来。想起什么就干什么。既无车间的规律,也无田间的季节。既然艺术是使人愉悦的,就不要让别人强加自己(包括古人),也不要去强加别人。以轻松的心态,完成轻松的作品,让人在阅读时也有轻松的感觉,这样比较好。 艺术作品是由共性和个性共同组成的。共性让你溶入群体,个性发挥你的特长,共性包括对传统文化的继承和对时代特征的把握,两者都不可偏颇。过于泥古者,一张老脸,面目陈旧;求怪求新,则忸怩作态,声势虚张。这是一个简单的公式,成功者都能很好的解决。然而共性只是基础,没有个性的作品只能是平庸的。如能在传统文化和时代精神两大背景下,充分地发挥你的想象,施展你的才华,将个人的情感溶于传统和时代
