1990年8月16日中午,河北涿州市电子仪器厂会议室里爆发了一声争论。最后,当时的代省长程雄高指着?玉泉厂长说:“你只能当副厂长兼总工！”又转身对市府领导说:“市里另派人当厂长。” 省长的指示并没有执行,可?玉泉还是为此记恨了整整3年。直到最近,他才沮丧地对记者说:“唉,程书记是对的,我们厂早该换厂长了！”
At noon on August 16, 1990, an argument broke out in the conference room of the electronic instrument factory in Chenzhou, Hebei. In the end, the then acting governor Cheng Xionggao pointed to the director of Yuquan, saying: “You can only be the deputy director and chief engineer!” Then he turned to the city leaders and said: “The city will send someone to be the director.” The long instruction has not been implemented, but Yuquan still remembers it for a full three years. Until recently, he told reporters in frustration: “Oh, Secretary Cheng is right. We should change the factory early!”
