词汇是语言的三大要素之一,著名语言学家威尔金斯曾经说过“没有语法,人们表达的事物寥寥无几,而没有词汇,人们则无法表达事物。”这极大表明了词汇在日常交际过程中的重要作用。然而在实际中小学的教学中,词汇教学却存在一些不足。在研习阶段听课观察及问卷调查中,笔者发现,在词汇教学方面,大部分教师采用传统方式,领读单词,讲解词音、义及常用搭配,在课文中遇见时直接翻译。此教法使词汇脱离语境,只涉及词汇表层意义,使学生在阅读英文原文或写作时,不能
Vocabulary is one of the three major elements of language. Well-known linguist Wilkins once said that “there is no grammar, and few people express things. Without words, people can not express things.” Vocabulary in the daily communication of the important role. However, there are some shortcomings in the teaching of primary and secondary schools. During the lectures and questionnaires during the study period, the author found that in the teaching of vocabulary, most teachers adopt the traditional way to read the words, explain the pronunciation, meaning and common collocation, and translate directly when they meet in the text. This teaching method makes the vocabulary out of context, only involves the meaning of the vocabulary, so that students can not read the original English or writing
