Caustic sodaIn September 2007,the price of causticsoda remained stable in most regions ofChina,and went up only in a few regions.In southern China,the price remainedstable because supply and demand wasbasically balanced.Due to the demand in-crease in downstream sectors,the paceof caustic soda in eastern China contin-ued to increase.In eastern China the trading pace of ionicmembrane caustic soda lifted to RMB580-660/t by the end of September 2007,com-pared to RMB550-620/t at the end of Au-gust 2007.In October 2007,the growth of causticsoda output will slow down and the paceof caustic soda will be stable.
