水文化教育是文化教育的重要组成部分,尤其是在当前我国面临尖锐突出的“水多”、“水少”“水脏”“水浑”等水问题的形势下,开展水文化教育,为解决日益严重的水问题寻求文化支撑,显得尤为迫切和重要。同时,水文化教育的开展和推进,对于弘扬和传承中华水文化、宣传普及我国的国情水情、积极推动生态文明建设,乃至国民素质的提高、文化软实力的提升、综合国力的增强都发挥着不可估量的作用。因此,在新的媒介技术统治世界、经济结构发生巨大变化、社会改革不断深化的今天,重新讨论水文化教育是必要的。
