With a long and glorious history, Chinese painterly figure painting has accumulated a complete set of rigorous and standardized art system and unique and distinctive color style in the long-term development. In the history of Chinese art occupies a pivotal position. Due to various reasons in history, China’s slick figure painting began to decline after the heyday of the Han and Tang Dynasties. By the middle of the twentieth century, painterly figure painting was almost on the verge of extinction.
