民办院校的培养目标立足培养“基础较厚,口径较宽,注重实际,善于应用”的应用型人才,因此就要求大学英语教学不同于传统的精英型,研究型的教学定位。而如何把英语教学与就业有机结合起来,提升民办高校办学水平是民办高校英语教学的现实问题。把跨文化交际和ESP引入课堂有利于培养学生语言实际应用能力,符合时代发展方向和学生切身需要。
The training objectives of private colleges are based on the training of “based on thick, wide-caliber, practical, good at application of” applied talents, thus requiring college English teaching is different from the traditional elite, research-based teaching positioning. How to combine English teaching and employment organically to improve the level of running a private university is a practical problem in private college English teaching. The introduction of intercultural communication and ESP into the classroom is conducive to cultivating students’ practical ability in language application, in line with the development direction of the times and the needs of students.
