张爱玲与契诃夫生活在不同时代,不同国度,各具特色,各有千秋。但两人各自的作品《花凋》与《迟开的花朵》都有着相似的故事情节、共通的幽默和荒诞意识、从“家”入手的写实创作和同样的苍凉凄凉语调,充满对女性的同情与怜悯。在揭露和抨击了社会的黑暗面、人性的阴暗面的同时,深刻反映了当时的社会问题。
