株洲华银火力发电有限公司作为具有87万装机容量的国有发电企业,是湖南长株潭城市圈和负荷中心关系经济安全和社会民生的电源支撑点。2008年1—2月,在遭遇历史罕见特大冰冻灾害中,株电公司高扬“立”电为民、运筹帷幄、众志成城、勇作表率、吃苦霸蛮(指特别能吃苦打硬仗)的抗冰精神,日夜奋战,敢战能胜,勇于担当,在冰与火较量的极端困难条件下,创造了抗灾保电的奇迹,为支援株洲乃至长株潭地区抗冰救灾夺取最终胜利作出了突出贡献。
