玉兰家族是对木兰科木兰属植物白玉兰、飞黄玉兰、红运玉兰、二乔玉兰、望春玉兰、紫玉兰等的统称。它们具有独特的树形,多样的开花习性,美丽芬芳的花朵,而且对环境条件要求不严,适应性广,因此在我国园林观赏树种中占有较为重要的地位。玉兰家族的繁殖方法多样,各地有所差异。传统的方法是种子繁殖或嫁接繁殖。北京东北旺苗圃在传统枝接繁殖的基础上,多年来一直探索秋季芽接的方法。经过对比试验,这种方法比传统的枝接和嵌芽接成活率大大提高,育苗周期缩短,效果良好。
