With regard to theory, there are different roles in the traditional and contemporary existence. Traditionally, starting from Parmenides, Western philosophy has been following a path to universal truth. This theoretical tradition is to use language to clarify a monotonous rational content. However, many contemporary philosophers want to abandon rationality. Feyerabend is one of the representatives. He believes that the traditional rationality has broken away from the life world, leaving the existence of its diversity and individuality. In the contemporary view of existence, knowledge should assume the role of contemporary theory.
