During the “Sixth Five-Year Plan” period, the Ministry of Forestry has undertaken 15 tasks in tackling key issues in the three countries. Through the collaborative research of more than 2,000 people in more than 2000 units (autonomous regions and municipalities) in more than 20 provinces across the country, 43 scientific research achievements have been made. Among them, 15 achievements such as “Study on Genetic Variation and Breeding Procedures of Cunninghamia,” “Cunninghamia lanceolata Geographical Variation and Division of Source Areas” reached or approached the international research level of similar researches, and the rest reached the advanced level in the country or in the domestic leading position.
