《夜色温柔》看似简单的故事情节却反映了关于沉沦和失败的更大悲剧:迪克所努力追求的婚姻生活和看似诱人的上层社会如同泡沫般,一碰即破。他心中的乌托邦最终全部坍塌。这种看似得到却最终失去的结果,无疑是迪克也是“镀金一代”年轻人共同的悲剧命运。
The seemingly simple story of “Gentle Night” reflects a greater tragedy of demise and defeat: Dick’s struggling marriage and seemingly tempting upper class society burst into a bubble. Utopia in his heart eventually collapsed. This seemingly but ultimately lost result is undoubtedly the common tragedy of Dick who is also a “gilded generation” of young people.
