新课标下的高中数学教学要求教师在高中数学的教学活动中不能仅限于教会学生记忆、接受和简单的模仿,高中数学的教学目的是促进学生积极主动探索的能力,通过组织学习的方式进行合作和交流以及综合动手实践能力的提高。但是在实际的教学活动中,因为受到传统高中教条式教学思想的影响,使得学生在高中数学课堂上的参与度较低,整个课堂始终是以教师为主导,课堂气氛死板,师生之间缺少在教学理论上的交流和互动,而与之相对的也有很多数学课堂虽然学生的主体地位得到了很好的体现,但是在教学内容和教学思维方面却十分欠缺,缺乏实质的高中数学教学内容。
