据说当着毛主席的面,为他画过像的只有两位画家。一位叫沈逸千,是在延安画的;另一位就是现任北京画院副院长尹瘦石,是在重庆画的。 提起这段有历史意义的往事,尹瘦石同志说:“今年正好是毛主席诞辰九十周年,又是忠贞的爱国主义者、伟大的人民诗人柳亚子先生逝世二十五周年。我有幸能为毛主席画像,全仗亚子先生。不能不使我回想起与亚子先生的一段交往以及举办《柳诗尹画联展》的情景……”
