The Koehring Skooper 505 backhoe loader in the United States has two characteristics: a crawler excavator and a front loader. It basically consists of two parts: the main body and the operating equipment. The main body is similar to the main body of a general crawler excavator, and has a welding base, a U-shaped roller path and a conical roller, and a rotary platform driven by a ring gear. The power plant is a 165-horsepower diesel engine. The slewing and running mechanism is transmitted through a 280-mm diameter plate clutch and a universal joint. The platform is fully revolving. The diesel engine also directly drives a hydraulic pump with a pressure of 140 kg/cm2, at 2,100 rpm.
