邬贺铨,中国工程院院士,光纤传送网与宽带信息网专家。长期从事光纤传输系统和宽带网研究开发及项目管理工作,他作为总体负责人研发的PCM基群复用终端设备获得1978年全国科学大会奖、他所负责组织开发的SDH光纤传输系统项目获得1988年国家科技进步二等奖,还曾主持国家数字电视地面传输标准的制订,近十年来负责下一代互联网(NGI)和3G及其演进技术(LTE)等研发项目的技术管理。邬院士曾任电信科学技术研究院副院长兼总工程师、中国工程院副院长。目前兼任国家信息化
Wu He Quan, Chinese Academy of Engineering, optical fiber transmission network and broadband information network experts. He has long been engaged in R & D and project management of optical fiber transmission systems and broadband networks. He won the 1978 National Science Conference Award as the PCM-based group multiplexing terminal developed by the general manager. His SDH optical fiber transmission system project was organized and developed in 1988 National Science and Technology Progress Award, also presided over the national digital terrestrial television transmission standard formulation, the past 10 years responsible for next-generation Internet (NGI) and 3G and its evolution technology (LTE) R & D projects such as technical management.
