姚锡棠,生于1934年1月,江苏武进(今常州市)人。1956年至1961年在苏联莫斯科工程经济学院攻读动力经济学专业,归国后在华东电力设计院工作20年,1981年调入上海社会科学院部门经济研究所从事研究工作,历任工业室主任、部门经济所所长,1987年担任上海社会科学院常务副院长,同年被评为国家级有突出贡献的中青年专家。曾任全国港镇经济研究会副理事长、上海管理学会副理事长、浦东发展研究院院长、美国加州大学洛杉矶分校和日本京都大学客座教授等职。著有《浦东崛起与长江流域经济发展》、《上海经济发展战略研究》、《迈向21世纪的上海》、《迈向21世纪的浦东新区》、《建立社会主义市场经济体制的成功战略》等。2014年,获上海市第十二届哲学社会科学学术贡献奖,获奖词称其主要学术贡献为:在能源经济、工业经济、城市和区域发展战略研究等领域有着深厚的学术造诣,并在这些学科的应用研究方面取得了突出的成就,为上海经济发展总体战略的形成和推进浦东开发做出了重要贡献。本文系上海社会科学院老专家口述史课题系列成果之一,访谈由上海社会科学院历史研究所张生助理研究员整理,经姚锡棠先生审订。
Yao Xitang, was born in January 1934, Jiangsu Wujin (now Changzhou) people. Former vice president of the National Economic Research Institute of Hong Kong, Shanghai Institute of Management vice president, Pudong Development Institute, the University of California, Los Angeles and Japan Kyoto University visiting professor and other staff. He is the author of “The Rise of Pudong and the Economic Development of the Yangtze River Basin”, “Study on the Strategy of Shanghai Economic Development,” “Shanghai Towards the 21st Century,” “Pudong New Area Towards the 21st Century,” “Successful Strategy for Establishing a Socialist Market Economic System” Wait. In 2014, he was awarded the 12th Philosophical and Social Science Academic Contribution Award by Shanghai Municipality. The award winners claimed that his major academic contributions are as follows: He has profound academic attainments in such fields as energy economy, industrial economy, urban and regional development strategy research, It has made outstanding achievements in applied research of disciplines and made important contributions to the formation of Shanghai’s overall economic development strategy and the development of Pudong.
