Humic acid (HA) is widely found in the natural environment. HA is present in the middle of modern mineral deposits, soils, peat and various combustible biogenic rocks. In the past ten years, the combination of analysis and physicochemical methods used in oxidation, reduction and pyrolysis methods, so that the knowledge of the HA structure has been progress. However, classical methods have not been successful for the determination of HA’s aromatics. This most important parameter depends on many factors, first of all on the nature of the original organic matter forming the particular humic substance.
