Firmenich, Switzerland, recently received the gold certification of the Eco Vadis sustainability rating platform, making it one of the most sustainable suppliers in the fragrance and flavor industry. Firmenich set itself the goal of becoming a carbon-balancing enterprise in 2015 and subsequently took a series of actions, including the use of renewable energy at its production sites to reduce water consumption and CO2 emissions by 20%.
