Kokkugia is an international design studio headquartered in London and New York with primary involvement in design, research, experimentation and teaching. Studio practice projects in many areas, including architectural design, urban design and industrial design. Kokkugia is currently involved in projects in Australia, Mexico and the United States. The Taipei Performing Arts Center Program explores the geography and cultural background of Taipei through algorithm design and tries to create a vibrant performance and social space. Nineteenth Century Keelung River waterway through erosion, carved out of the site landscape. This process was re-expressed by cutting out the public space between two studios; this cut weaves the public entrances with the public squares and the theater exhibition halls.
