关于新闻的定义,众说纷纭,何者为佳 1 新闻这个词,可以溯源很早,在唐代就出现了。唐人李咸用的《春日逢乡人刘松》诗云:“旧业久抛耕钓侣,新闻多说战争功。”(《披沙集》卷五)。到了宋代,新闻一词屡在文人的著作中出现,赵升的《朝野类要》《朝报》中说:“朝报,日出事宜也。每日门下后省编定”,“率有露泄之禁,故隐而号之曰‘新闻’”。明清时,新闻就用得更多了。明代的《安得长者言》,清代的《红楼梦》等,都多次用到它。不过,古人说的新闻,指新近听说之事,多为传闻,不是我们现在所说的一种独立的文章体裁。 十九世纪初期,近代中文报刊产生了。它开始登载新闻,从此新闻在近代报刊上越来越多,新闻体载逐渐完善。到本世纪二十年代,新闻便成为一种独立的文章体裁。 人们在实践的基础上,对新闻理论作了深入的探讨。但对新闻定义,至今仍是众说纷纭。据不完全统计,国内外关于新闻的定义有一百种以上。综观这些定义的内含走向,大体上形成两个支流,一是A型定义,一是B型定义。 A型定义的基本点是新近发生的事实报道或传播.具有代表性的意见有:“新闻者,乃多数阅者所注意之最近事实也。”(徐宝璜)“新闻的定义,就是新近发生的事实的报道。”(陆定一)“新闻是新近变动的事
