人类基因组突变学会于2006年6月在澳大利亚的墨尔本会议上正式启动了人类变异组计划(Human Variome Project,简称HVP),这是一项雄心勃勃的计划,旨在揭示导致人类疾病的所有的遗传学变异。2011年1月,这项科学计划得到了来自中国金额为三亿美元的投资,从而在信心上给予了这项科学计划巨大的加强。这笔资金将于十年内全部支付,是HVP自从2006年成立以来最为巨大的一笔投资,彰显了中国在医学遗传学领域起到更大作用、扮演更加强大的角色的意图。
The Human Genome Mutation Society officially launched the Human Variome Project (HVP) at the Melbourne meeting in Australia in June 2006, an ambitious program to uncover all the geneticities that contribute to human disease Learn variation. In January 2011, this scientific project received an investment of 300 million U.S. dollars from China, thus giving confidence in a huge enhancement of this scientific program. The money, to be paid in full in a decade, is the single most significant investment in HVP since it was established in 2006, underscoring China’s intent to play a bigger role in the field of medical genetics and to play a stronger role.
