不喜欢被称为“香港艺人”从没想过长大后会跟演艺界沾上关系的丁子峻,小时候的志愿是当一名老师。他念书时,就觉得老师这个职业非常伟大,又觉得自己的老师讲得太闷,如果自己来讲的话肯定更能调动气氛。19岁进入社会的丁子峻,却是先在一家广告公司做杂活打工,两年后才有机会去代理一些广告。有一天,许鞍华导演找他在电影《女人四十》里演个角色,丁子峻坦言当时的感觉跟做梦差不多。拍完《女人四十》后,丁子峻主持人、歌手等无不尝试,几年下来,他还是把影视放在了第一位。
