当前国画艺术创新首先要解放思想,有正确的创新观,不要把创新神秘化。中国画尤其要关注现代题材的开掘,突破原先花种的界限,选择贴近生活的题材,运用综合的表达方式,并适当增加画面容量。重视现代题材的开掘才更合乎艺术的真谛,一代宗师吕凤子的艺术成长历程也证明了这一点。上世纪60年代也曾经形成一股中国画现代题材风并取得了可观的成绩,当今时代更呼唤新的现代题材画风的形成。
