During the oral history investigation and research on the Japanese aggression against colonialism in China, we found that nearly 100 Japanese tombstones of common people in China, Japan and South Korea during the occupation of Dalian were discovered. These lucky surviving tombstones together with the oral history of 1,300 people and 4,000 historical pictures and other physical materials constitute the complete, systematic, multi-dimensional and multi-modal historical memory of the Chinese people. This article from the unique perspective of funeral custom, a preliminary study of 80 Chinese tombstones, interpretation of the tomb and erection of people, tomb shape and monument, inscriptions and annals and other aspects of society, population, economy, culture, enslavement education, Identity and other historical information has effectively proved that Japan’s brutal rule over Dalian for 40 years has not only caused the high mortality rate and the low birth rate of the population but also caused many ordinary people to die and they have destroyed the Chinese culture and destroyed the Chinese culture through cultural aggression and enslavement education The concept of nationhood and national identity have caused grave bad consequences. They are more “sinister” warfare than armed killings and economic plunder.
