著名新闻工作者、中国古典文学专家、人民文学出版社老编辑张友鸾同志,因病长期医治无效,于一九九○年七月二十三日凌晨四时四十五分逝世,享年八十六岁。张友鸾同志,安徽安庆人,生于一九○四年。早年就读于安庆第一中学,一九二一年在安庆参加社会主义青年团。一九二二年入北京平民大学新闻系,曾为著名进步报人邵飘萍所办的《京报》主编《文学周刊》,并进行新文学创作活动。一九二五年任《世界日报》总编辑,自此开始,长期从事新闻工作。一九二七年李大钊同志委派他任《国民晚报》社长,后因北京党组织遭受破坏,开始“民间报人”的生涯。从一九二七年秋到抗日
Comrade Zhang Youlian, a famous journalist and expert on Chinese classical literature and the chief editor of People’s Literature Publishing House, died of a long illness and died at 4:45 am on July 23, 1990, year old.
