备受瞩目的扩建工程首都机场是我国的国门。将要进行的首都机场新旅客航站区的建设是自1959年以来的第三次大规模扩建。扩建工程属国家重点工程, 它的建设关系到2008年北京奥运会的承办水平。2003年10月,国务院批准成立了由国家发展和改革委员会、民航总局和北京市政府及有关部门组成的领导小组,负责协调和领导扩建工程。本次扩建由北京市承担148公顷扩建用地的征迁工作,将分成3期提交建设用地, 2004年3月10日提供主楼开工用地。通过本期扩建,首都机场可以实现三大目标：一是按照民航战略规划,实现枢纽机场功能；二是于 2007年年底前建成,服务于2008年的北京奥运会；三是塑造国门的崭新形象,建成世界一流的大型复合枢纽机场。激烈的竞争与胜出参加本次首都机场方案应征的8家设计公
High-profile expansion project Capital Airport is our country. The construction of the new passenger terminal area at Capital Airport will be the third large-scale expansion since 1959. Expansion project is a national key project, its construction related to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games contractor level. In October 2003, the State Council approved the establishment of a leading group comprising the National Development and Reform Commission, the Civil Aviation Administration, the Beijing Municipal Government and relevant departments to coordinate and lead the expansion project. The expansion will be undertaken by Beijing Municipality for the requisition of 148 hectares of land for expansion and will be submitted to the construction site in three phases. The land for the main building will be provided on March 10, 2004. Through the current expansion, the capital airport can achieve three major objectives: First, in accordance with the strategic planning of civil aviation to achieve the hub airport functions; second is completed by the end of 2007, serving the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games; third is to create a new image of the country, Build a world-class large complex hub airport.
