广东东莞太平口岸,是东莞市的一个对外开放口岸,有直通香港的客运口岸和对外轮开放的沙角、威远、沙田锚地,辖下有虎门、长安、厚街、沙田、新湾五个镇,共有3200多家“三资”企业,对外交往频繁。1994年印度苏拉特市发生鼠疫,并向其他城市蔓延,各国采取了紧急措施,防止鼠疫传入。本辖区范围内发挥了已经形成的口岸卫生检疫保健体系的作用,从关口查验,口岸卫生监督,“三资”企业后续管理等几个层次进行管理和控制。其做法如下:
