第一眼看到这件作品的时候,我们是这样的熟悉,又是这样的意外。熟悉的是,这正是我们心目中的领袖的形象,意外的是雕塑家的艺术处理是这样的独特、新颖。袁晓岑同志是国内知名的雕塑家,他的优美的风俗雕塑和生动的动物雕塑,是人们早已熟知的。这次,雕塑家面临的,却是一个全新的、无疑地也是极其光荣而艰巨的任务:塑造我们伟大的领袖毛主席的光辉形象。这一形象,在我们革命文艺的画廊中,已经有了无数光彩焕发的作品。因此,雕塑家必须以自己对于领袖的深刻理解和独特的艺术处理,才能使自己的作品在这一长列璀灿的画廊面前发出新的光彩。袁晓岑同志的新作《战地黄花分外香》,无论就立意之新颖,构思之深刻,意境之完美,制作之生动,都可以跻身于优秀作品的行列的。
When we first saw this piece of work, we were familiar with it and it was such an accident. Familiar with this is the image of the leader in our mind, the unexpected is that the sculptor’s art is so unique and novel. Comrade Yuan Xiaocen is a well-known sculptor in China. His beautiful custom sculptures and vivid animal sculptures are well known to people. This time, the sculptor is facing a completely new and undoubtedly extremely glorious and arduous task: to create a glorious image of Chairman Mao, our great leader. This image, in our gallery of revolutionary literature, has had countless glittering works. Therefore, the sculptor must, with his deep understanding of the leader and his unique artistic treatment, make his work a new glory in front of this glittering gallery. Comrade Yuan Xiaocen’s new work, “Huanghuaxiangxiangxiang”, can stand out among the best works in terms of novelty, profound conception, perfect artistic conception and vivid production.
