In this paper, a neutral iridium complex [Ir (ppy) 2 (PPh3) (NCO)] was synthesized and characterized by IR, NMR, ESI-MS and elemental analysis. The crystal structure of the complex was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system and the space group is P21 / c. With a = 0.99447 (4) nm, b = 1.48082 (6) nm, c = 2.24713 (11) nm, β = 101.183 (2) °, V = 3.2464 (2) nm3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.647 g · cm-3, F (000) = 1592, R1 = 0.0328, wR2 = 0.0987 (I> 2σ (I)). The photoluminescence spectra showed that the maximal emission wavelengths of the complex in dichloromethane, chloroform and DMF were 485, 484 and 515 nm, respectively. That is, the complex was blue-green-green in dichloromethane and chloroform and green in DMF. In strongly polar solvents, the maximum phosphorescent emission wavelength of the compound red-shifted.
