近代出版人利用近代的传播手段来实现对政治的参与、对民众的教育等,在社会转型中占据了特殊的地位。在出版工作中,近代出版人多与政界,同行,作者与读者交往,而与这四个人群的社会活动则构成了近代出版人社会关系的主要内容。出版活动与政界的关系密不可分,近代出版人不可能完全脱离政治。同行之间的交流与竞争更是推动了出版事业的繁荣。而出版人与作者之间良好的关系也是出版业发展的关键要素之一。另外,出版人与读者间的师生关系既启蒙了群众,传播了文化,也促进了出版社自身的改革。
Modern publishers use modern means of communication to achieve political participation, public education, etc., occupy a special position in the social transformation. In the publishing work, the modern publishers mostly deal with politicians, peers, authors and readers, and the social activities with these four groups constitute the main contents of the social relations of modern publishers. The relationship between publishing activities and politics is inseparable, modern publishers can not be completely out of politics. Exchange and competition among peers is to promote the prosperity of publishing. The good relationship between the publisher and the author is also one of the key elements in the development of the publishing industry. In addition, the relationship between teacher and student between publisher and reader has enlightened the masses, spread the culture and promoted the reform of the publishing house itself.
