南京工學院正式建校九個多月以來,我們根據上級指示,和依靠全院師生員工的努力,首先是全體教師的努力,已經做了不少的工作,並且在行政領導上得到了若干重要的體會和經驗。一、首先,在行政領導方面,對於集中精力,辦好學校,搞好教學,並以教學改革作為當前的中心任務這一中心問題,基本上是明確的,貫徹是堅決的。雖然由於教學改革的準備不足,要求過急,以及學生程度不齊等產生過忙亂現象,曾經因校內外的政治活動過多,領導多頭,會議頻繁等產生過混亂現象,但在十二月底迄一月初採取了各種堅決的措施以後,即已基本上得到了克服。 為了克服忙亂現象與混亂現象,我們曾經在教師中提出了「面向學生,保證教好學好」的口號;在學生中通過傳達青年團三中全會的決議,貫徹「學習是青年特別突出的中心任務」的思想,反復進行「為祖國學習」「向科學進軍」等愛國主義教育;在職工中提出「一切為了教學,一切保證教學任務的完成」
