当今世界,由于意识形态、民族种族、经济状况等诸多差异,不同的人群面临的问题也千差万别,不一而足。但是,我们只有一个地球,生态环境问题是全人类必须共同面对的。而且,生态环境问题并不是孤立存在的,它时常与其他社会问题互为因果,岂容小看。按照传统的观点,艺术大致有三种社会功能,分别是教育功能、认识功能和审美功能。在当代自然环境日趋恶化的情况下,艺术如何使其几项功能得到发挥?换句话说,面对当代的生态环境,艺术何为?“第四届中国北京国际美术双年展”用“架上”的造型语言对此做了解答。同时,国内外部分美术学者也从理论层面上展开思考。本期,我们摘发了双年展研讨会上部分学者的发言,供读者参考。
In today’s world, due to many differences in ideology, ethnicity, and economic conditions, the problems faced by different groups of people vary greatly from one city to another. However, we only have one planet. The issue of ecological environment is that we must face together by all mankind. Moreover, the issue of ecological environment does not exist in isolation, and often it is a causal link with other social issues and can not be underestimated. According to the traditional view, art has roughly three kinds of social functions, namely education function, cognitive function and aesthetic function. How can art bring its several functions into play under the deteriorating natural environment? In other words, what is art in the face of contemporary ecological environment? “The Fourth Beijing International Art Biennale ” “Shelf ” modeling language to do this answer. At the same time, some domestic and foreign art academics also think in terms of theory. In this issue, we have taken some speeches made by some scholars at the Biennial Seminar for readers’ reference.
