Crculating fibrocytes CF is a type of bone marrow-derived interstitial cells that simultaneously express cellular markers of hematopoietic, monocytic and fibroblast cell lines. More and more animal experimental evidence shows that the differentiation and metastasis of CF play an important role in chronic inflammatory reaction and collagen deposition. Recent experiments show that the count of CF can be used as a biomarker in the development of fibrosis diseases, especially in pulmonary fibrosis.
